| Alan has a history of over 20 years of experience in senior management and business development, primarily in the financial services, advertising, and IT&T industries, along with the establishment of several successful SME's.
Alan started his career in real estate in 1983 with one of Australia's largest real estate and building groups. His demonstration of management and leadership skills with an entrepreneurial drive and aptitude for the financial services, general management and IT&T areas of the company saw his early promotions to Building Administration Manager and Manager of Financial Services.
After 3 successful years in the company, Alan used his broad business knowledge to start-up a financial services company called CFC. The company was one of Australia's first full-service mortgage finance and property conveyancing businesses. Alan's intense focus on customer service soon saw CFC grow to one of the largest independent mortgage intermediaries in Australia. After 9 years as Managing Director, Alan sold his interest in the company to partners to pursue new opportunities.
Over the next 12 years Alan successfully bought and sold four SME businesses so his experience incorporates not only the technical aspects of a sale or purchase of a business and honed negotiation skills, but also a sound understanding of the emotional issues that are inevitably involved in the process.
Alan has also consulted to companies in areas such as marketing, process improvement, IT&T, finance and growth strategies. Positions held include senior executive, director, consultant and adviser to a variety of enterprises ranging from start-ups to public companies.
Alan now applies his full range of valuable experience and dynamism to support vendors and purchasers achieve successful outcomes across all industry sectors.
Alan is a regular and passionate international traveller, having toured extensively throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and is also an avid snow skier and sailor.
